Main duties of the job

- Deliver exceptional nursing care, adhering to best practice guidelines and maintaining high clinical standards.

- Perform a wide range of nursing duties, including immunisations, cervical smears, chronic disease management, health assessments, travel advice and health promotion.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols, policies, and procedures.

- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing expertise and collaborating on patient care plans.

- Work as part of our nursing team, supporting the development of all team members.

We are a high performing friendly practice based in a dedicated health centre in Wigan.

You will be working with a very welcoming nursing team supported by GP's. We are also supported by an organised primary care network which provides support with clinical work and development. Currently we are working closely with another practice also based in Chandler House, to benefit our staff and patients.

Participate in national screening work such as cervical cytology and deliver the national immunisation and vaccination schedule

Provide travel health advice and administer appropriate vaccinations

Provide directly and assist GPs with contraceptive services

Undertake health promotion to help educate patients

Select, carry out and interpret results of specific tests
