Greater Middlesbrough PCN is looking for dynamic Pharmacy Technicians to join our highly skilled and experienced team of primary care clinicians and medicines management support staff.

Main duties of the job
The role offers a varied work agenda providing medicines optimisation support around defined quality and safety issues across all 8 practices in our network. Including the implementation and delivery of prescribing initiatives, with a potential to develop to undertake medication reviews across our population, fully supported by an experienced network of colleagues. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and have some experience of medicines optimisation and quality and patient safety initiative delivery. You will hold a recognised qualification in pharmaceutical sciences (BTEC / NVQ3 or equivalent) plus and be a registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council with 2 years post qualification experience. You must also be computer literate, organised and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise workload, build key relationships and be confident interacting with a wide range of stakeholders such as GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists, secondary care clinicians and patients.
About us
Greater Middlesbrough PCN are a group 8 GP Practices with a weighted list size of 70,192 patients and we are looking for new Pharmacy Technicians to join our Primary Care Network team.
The Pharmacy Technician will have a key role in supporting the Clinical Pharmacists and PCN with the delivery of the new Network Contract DES Service specifications.
Greater Middlesbrough PCN consists of;
Training practices
Multidisciplinary teams that currently consists of GP partners, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, a Clinical Pharmacist and a dedicated Medicines Support team and usual attached supporting staff
SystmOne and EMIS clinical systems
High QOF achievements
Committed to developing all staff with a loyal extended primary health care teams
