Oakside surgery is looking for an additional Salaried GP to join our existing team. We are keen to support newly qualified GPs and have a Skilled worker Certificate for Sponsorship (CoS) from the UK Visas and Immigration department for 4 years for 2 workers.
We are ideally looking for 6 sessions per week but can offer some degree of flexibility on number sessions per week, including session timings. Competitive salary £10,000 -£11,000 per session based on experience, with optional additional pay flexibility for special interests or additional responsibilities.

About us
We are a friendly, welcoming, and innovative GP Practice based in Plymouth, an active member practice for Sound PCN a recognised innovative PCN and deliver quality primary healthcare to our c.7500 patients of mixed health and care needs. We are proud of our team and work collectively to achieve high levels of QOF Targets. We are delivering an innovative medical model for acute presentation and have an overarching support team provided by the PCN.
We are a training practice and have an experienced trainer to support GP Registrars, Foundation Doctors, Medical Students, designated medical prescribers (Nurse, paramedic or pharmacists) and VTS Nurses.
Our clinical team consists of 2 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 1 regular GP Locum, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 1 Paramedic, 2 care co-ordinators, and a nursing team which includes 2 Practice Nurses and 2 HCAs.
Our supportive PCN clinical team includes Pharmacists, Pharmacy technicians, Podiatrists, MH workers & Counsellors, Paramedic visiting service, First Contact Practitioners and more.

The salaried GP is responsible for providing medical care and services to the practice population, managing a clinical caseload and dealing with a diverse range of health needs.
This will include, but is not limited to, surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, administration, complying with the practices contracts (GMS/PMS/enhanced services), and the education and training of junior/trainee clinical staff.

- Undertake duty and out-of-hours consultations as required, on a rota basis
- Triage patients presenting to the practice in person and by telephone
- Conduct telephone consultations and home visits as appropriate
- Check and sign repeat prescription requests
- Check, manage and process patient test results
- Prescribe in line with local and national guidelines
- Refer patients to secondary/urgent care and additional interventions as appropriate
