Locum GP Nurse

Job summary

Locum practice nurse needed, must be able to do immunisation and smear. We have a nursing lead and 3 practice nurses who can support and mentor newly qualified nurses.

Main duties of the job

General practice nursing. QOF administration, childhood smear and imms. Ideal candidate is someone who can do spirometry, administer chronic disease register and perform immunisation to adult and children.

Currently the majority of practices are in the Tameside area, North West,

however the group is expanding into the wider North region and has plans in

future to grow into other areas of England.

Our people.

We pride ourselves in our people, we have team members who have been with us for more than 26 years. Half of the team have been with us for over 10 years. We look after our team members to enable them to look after the business and ultimately the patients.

We have a core staff of around 65 permanent staff and we manage 12 ad hoc staff from various outside organisations such as primary care network, including locum doctors, nurses and allied medical staff.

We demonstrated an independent spirit in General Practice since 1938, yes before the NHS. Since 1938 we are the fourth generation of GP in the practice. We know our patients well!
