Job Summary:
We are looking to recruit a friendly, reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working Medical Notes Administrator to work in our friendly GP practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the read-coding of relevant information into the patients electronic healthcare records on Emis Web clinical system, adhering to the practice coding policy.
We are a large, friendly and committed teams of Doctors, Nurses and other healthcare professionals and a team of reception and administrative staff.
We offer full training, excellent NHS pension scheme, free onsite parking.
Main duties of the job
The core responsibilities are:
- Accurately clinically coding data on the clinical system into the patient record
- Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, coding appropriately, and completing any detailed action
- Scanning patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records
- Inputting and extracting data as required to support practice reports

The practice business hours are Monday & Wednesday 8am to 8pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am-7pm.

- Actioning all incoming correspondence and emails in a timely manner
- Scanning patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
- You will also be required to summarise the medical records
- Reviewing records and accurately producing a summary of the patients medical history
- Accurately SNOMED CT coding data on the clinical IT system
- Reviewing progress of summarising, ensuring practice targets are achieved
- Review all clinical letters ensuring they are processed appropriately in line with protocols
- File records as required
- There may be on occasion a requirement to carry out other tasks
