Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit friendly, reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working Medical Receptionist to work in a friendly GP practice.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and able to work under pressure to provide best patient care. Must have excellent communication skills and a can-do approach to their work. They must be able to work well on their own, as well as being an integral part of our larger practice team.

Main duties of the job

- Greeting in a pleasant and friendly manner all callers at reception.

- Answering the telephone quickly and dealing with or redirecting enquires.

- Recording messages and home visit requests accurately.

- Handing out repeat prescriptions to patients or their representatives.

- Handling general enquiries and give out test results.

- Open mail and place in the appropriate box ensuring any mail marked private, confidential or personal is left unopened in the named persons box or if no named person the Practice Managers box.

We are a large practice of 22,000 patients situated in Enfield. We have a large team of 4 GP partners, 6 salaried GPs, and a supportive administrative team.
