Administrator to join North Cumbria Primary Care based at James Street Surgery providing
support to the Workington Locality. The role will support practice with
delivering excellent patient care in accordance with NCPC values and beliefs.

Working to the
Service Delivery Lead supervised by Copeland Informational Analyst and Digital
Support Officer to provide digital and IT Administrative support for the merged
5 NCPC practices in Workington. This
role will support the Service Delivery Lead and Copeland Information Analyst
and Digital support officer in providing timely data, maintaining an up to date
social media presence, setting up and supporting staff with software such as EMIS
Web, Ardens products, AccuRX, social media and website content, working with practices
to utilise the tools given to us, to deliver patient information, and any other
related tasks.
Hardware and
Network support is supported by e-health. Your role will be to report any
issues to the e-health helpdesk and ensure they are actioned in a timely
manner, and liaise with the local e-health team to ensure smooth running of all
hardware and network systems. This is
more of an IT Administration role, than a technical role, although some
technical knowledge will be an advantage.
You will be asked
to attend meetings as a representative for your locality, and work with other
NHS bodies to encourage and support shared care across all services available.

Responsible for the

setting up and ongoing management of Ardens and other patient support packages
where required.

Encourage and train
and support staff to carry out routine
troubleshooting of IT equipment
Keep social media
accounts up to date with regular and urgent practice updates.
Update practice
websites in line with NCPC guidance.
Ensure that the
practice meet Information Governance requirements and provide support to staff
in this area.
Support practice
improvements in the use of IT equipment and Systems, working with practice
staff to improve workflow and create efficiencies.
Provide support for
Service Delivery Leads in induction training for all new staff.
Setting up of NHS Smartcards and ongoing management.
Liaising with external companies that supply us with services. i.e phone
systems.
