GP Receptionist

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a GP receptionist to join our friendly team at Chapel Group Medical Centre. You will be joining an experienced team who are forward thinking, adaptive and hard working. We are looking for someone who is looking for their next challenge in a GP Practice or somewhere new where they can progress. All our admin staff are trained to carry out all areas of reception and admin and we also encourage our staff to take the lead in other areas to help them get involved in the practice. We are a training practice, therefore engage our staff to develop themselves.

Working in General Practice is tough, so we are looking for someone that is dynamic, forward thinking, a team player but also happy to work using their own initiative. Training will come as part of the role. We use EMIS WEB, Docman 10 and accurx and have the higest sign up in Salford of the NHS APP.

Main duties of the job

• Answering the telephone
• Booking/cancelling appointments
• Processing prescriptions
• Processing hospital letters
• Referral letters
• Dealing with patient enquiries
• Dealing with hospital, other healthcare organisations
• Care navigation
• Dealing with the GP's
• Any tasks set by the GP's/Nurses/Practice Manager
• Any other tasks requested.
