Job summary

A vacancy is available for a salaried GP on a fixed term contract to provide maternity cover at Blundellsands Surgery, L23 6TZ, starting early October 2023.

The opportunity is for a minimum of 5 clinical sessions covering Monday Wednesday, but we are happy to be flexible.

Remuneration: £10-11,000 per session annually, depending upon experience

Typical duties include:

  • patient consultations (15 minute appointments) face to face, over the telephone, home visits and e-Consultation.
  • monitoring patients conditions and wellbeing
  • discussing treatment options with patients
  • carrying out clinical examinations
  • diagnosing and treating illnesses/ailments
  • referring on to secondary care or other available services
  • prescribing medication and completing medication reviews
  • providing health education
  • administrative work
