Job summary

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Care Navigator/Receptionist to join our team. This is a key front-facing role, acting as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, while also helping to direct individuals to the most appropriate services.

You will play an important part in ensuring patients receive the right care, at the right time, by supporting access to healthcare services and providing excellent administrative support.

Main duties of the job

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and enquiries efficiently
  • Navigate patients to appropriate services, clinicians, or external support
  • Book, amend, and manage appointments using clinical systems
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Support the clinical team with administrative tasks
  • Manage general reception duties, including post, filing, and data entry
  • Help improve patient experience by providing clear information and guidance

    • Team player with a positive and flexible approach

    Desirable

    • Experience working in a healthcare or GP practice setting

    • Familiarity with clinical systems (e.g., EMIS, SystmOne)
    • Understanding of NHS services and pathways
