Job summary

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking General Practitioner (GP) to join our growing and supportive team for 4-6 sessions a week. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.

Main duties of the job

Working Conditions:

  • SystmOne Practice.
  • Employment under a BMA contract.
  • 6 weeks of annual leave and 1 week of study leave pro rata.
  • Minimal script duties due to our in-house pharmacy team.
  • Minimal letter processing due to our in-house workflow systems.
  • Limited home visits required.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address medical concerns presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals as necessary.
  • Conduct patient consultations in person, via telephone, or online.
  • Prescribe medications and manage prescription requests.
  • Participate in shared on-call duties according to a rota.
  • Perform home visits when clinically indicated.
  • Assist in achieving QOF and other local enhanced service targets.
  • Handle clinical administrative tasks as part of a shared rota, including the completion of medical reports.
  • Support the triage appointment system and make informed decisions regarding patient care.
  • Make necessary referrals to other healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team and engage in staff and clinical meetings.
