Job summary
We are recruiting for an experienced Phlebotomist.
23 hours per week on a permanent contract, working with our
PCN Enhanced Team and PCN Treatment Centre.
£12.50 hourly rate.
This is a dual role working with 2 teams within the PCN.
Also, working at our PCN Treatment Centre, delivering an OOH
clinic weekly. The successful applicant
will help the teams with the demand for phlebotomy.
Main duties of the job
-
Working in the community with housebound
patients under the direction of a qualified nurse.

Working in a clinic environment under the
direction of a GP.

To collect venous/capillary blood samples
without harm to patient or self by following the phlebotomy standard operating
procedures.

To obtain such blood samples to a standard fit
for laboratory testing ensuring collection, maintaining appropriate files &
records as required.

To ensure that all phlebotomy equipment and
accommodation is properly maintained and suitable for use.
Experience of home visiting is desirable however further
training will be provided.
