Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Nurse to join our well-established and friendly practice. We are an EMIS Web practice and have a list size of almost 8,000 patients, operating out of a single site. We are consistent in achieving high QOF results and we aim to provide high-quality primary medical care for all our patients.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will become part of our team of enthusiastic healthcare professionals and will help to deliver excellent nursing care to our local population providing a wide range of Practice Nurse duties including: Chronic Disease Management, cervical smear screening, adult and childhood immunisations, BP reviews, ECGs, Health Promotion and Advice and signposting to other services as necessary.

About us

We are a well-established Practice with 2 GP Partners, Community Pharmacist, Physicians Associate and a nursing team comprising of a Specialist Nurse Practitioner, 2 Practice Nurses and and Healthcare Assistant supported by a full administrative team.

Key task will include:

To provide a clinical nursing service and support to other professionals and patients of the practice.

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering general medical services to meet the needs of the local population.

Providing a range of treatments, screening, chronic disease management and advice within the professional competence of the postholder.

Support and work effectively within the clinical team.

All duties will be carried out in accordance with the NC Code of Professional Conduct and with regard to practice protocols.

  • Registered nurse with current NMC registration and active PIN and a minimum of 2 years' experience post registration.
