We are looking for a new Practice Manager to lead our team.
You will be confident and have excellent communication skills to enable
you to work cohesively with your practice and PCN teams as well as care for
patients. Problem solving and adaptability will help you to navigate the NHS
changing landscape. Optimising the practice performance is an ongoing challenge
so there will be plenty of variety in your role.
Previous primary care management experience whilst desirable is not a
requirement. Transferable skills and the enthusiasm to learn on the job are
equally important.

Main duties of the job
The
partners are looking for a leader with strong business management skills,
particularly in managing teams, HR, finances, public relations, and strategic
planning. In addition to this, the Practice Manager should have experience of
managing IT systems and will need to ensure compliance with appropriate
legislation in areas such as GDPR and CQC.
About us
Sid
Valley Practice is a friendly surgery located near the centre of Sidmouth
providing primary care services to approximately 14,500 patients. Our main site
in Sedemuda Road has recently been extended and provides high standard
accommodation for our staff, PCN staff and other healthcare practitioners. Our
branch site is being relocated and will be opening at Victoria Hospital in
Sidmouth in the very near future.
We are a 4
partner Practice, supported by a multidisciplinary team including salaried GPs,
Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Physiotherapists,
Paramedics, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Social Prescribers, Care Home
Coordinators, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, an Operations Manager,
Data Quality/IT Manager, Office Manager and an experienced reception/administration
team.
We have been
training the doctors of tomorrow for a number of years through our hosting of
registrars.
The closing
date for this role is Mon 19 February 2024 with interviews taking place on
Tuesday 5 March. However, we reserve the right to close the vacancy from

The role is a full-time position of 37 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.
