We are looking for an experienced and organisedMedical
Secretaryto join our friendly and supportive team at Elm Tree Surgery
. This is a part time position for 20
hours per week , working Monday , Wednesday
, Thursday and Friday .
The successful candidate will play an important role in
providing high-quality medical secretarial and administrative support to our
GPs and clinical staff, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations
within the practice.
Main duties of the job
- Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the clinical team, including typing and processing of referrals, reports, and correspondence.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications efficiently, including hospital letters, emails, and telephone calls.
- Liaise with hospitals, community services, and patients to ensure timely information flow.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with practice and NHS policies.
- Assist with workflow management and support the administrative team when required.
