Job summary
We are looking for a enthusiastic, motivated Nurse to join our Nursing team in a Practice Nurse position. This role will be suitable for someone with previous general practice experience but we will also consider applications from Nurses who would like to pursue a career in General Practice and the relevant support and training will be available to the right candidate.
We have some flexibility over the number of hours worked per work but are looking at between 30-37.5 and this must include a Friday.
Main duties of the job
The role will include aspects of:
- Implement and participate in routine vaccinations and immunisation programmes for both adults and children
- Wound care
- Cervical cytology
- Ear irrigation
- Health promotion
About us
The Caxton Surgery looks after 14,000 patients in Oswestry, North Shropshire. We have a large multidisciplinary team including 9 Doctors, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, and 2 Health Care Assistants.
We are a teaching practice, teaching medical students, GP Registrars and nursing students. We offer a friendly supportive working environment and take pride in looking after and developing our staff.
