Job summary
An opening has arisen for a medical receptionist
to join our friendly reception team.
The successful candidate will primarily be based at Cinderford Medical Centre with relief cover at Ruardean Surgery and Westbury Surgery.
The role requires provision of high-quality service
to patients of the practice, undertaking reception duties to include, but not
limited to:
- Answering phones/queries
- Making / cancelling appointments for all clinicians
- New registrations
- Giving results
- Liaising between clinicians and patients
- General administration duties
- Opening and closing up
Experience in a similar
role would be desirable; however, full training is available for the right
applicant.
Our Reception team work across three sites: Cinderford Medical Centre, Ruardean Surgery, Westbury Surgery
The vacancy is for part-time (25-30hours per week)

To provide an efficient and professional link between the patient and
clinical staff.
To offer general assistance to
the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and
other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
To receive,
assist and direct patients in a courteous, efficient and effective way in
accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional.
To undertake a
variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the
practice including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to
clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
To facilitate
effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care
team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.
