Job summary

We seek a Health Care Assistant to join their friendly team providing high class patient services to approximately 17,500 patients in East Grinstead.

Main duties of the job

This varied and exciting role will involve:

  • Phlebotomy
  • Observations (Weight, BP etc)
  • Long Term Conditions assistance - eg, helping with Hypertension reviews
  • Vaccinations (for instance annual flu campaign)
  • Removal of sutures / wound care
  • Assistance with minor operations

Experience

Essential

  • Previous HCA experience
  • Experience of phlebotomy

Desirable

  • Experience in General Practice is a bonus, but not essential. For anyone who is moving from a different sector or has not yet done some of the required duties, training and guidance will be provided in order to enable the candidate to transition and adapt.

Skills and Behaviours

Essential

  • Excellent bedside manner
  • A team player who is also self motivated, reliable, accountable and adaptable

  • NVQ3 qualification or the Care Certificate
