Job summary

Youll support the COO and Clinical Director (CD) in achieving strategic objectives, ensuring smooth operations, and implementing service changes. Organising PCN meetings, tracking action items, and managing key projects are key tasks.

The role includes supporting digital transformation, integrating clinical systems to improve patient access and operational efficiency, and using data to drive decision-making in patient care and population health management. You'll also manage procurement and ensure compliance with NHS and CQC regulations. Event coordination and communication management, including website and social media updates, will also be required.

Required: leadership experience in healthcare, managing large teams, and experience with EMIS or similar systems. Strong project management and communication skills are necessary, along with a deep understanding of NHS and PCN operations, HR processes, and data-driven decisions. Desirable: experience within a PCN, familiarity with population health management, and skills in data analysis.

Main duties of the job

The role involves managing staff, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management. You will handle HR processes like appraisals and sickness recording and provide regular reports to senior leadership.

You will support the COO and Clinical Director in implementing strategic objectives, coordinating daily operations, and organising PCN meetings. Key tasks include leading new projects, ensuring alignment with local priorities, and evaluating project performance.

The role also includes supporting digital transformation by integrating clinical systems to improve patient access and operational efficiency. Youll analyze data to drive improvements in care and support population health management.

Financial duties include monitoring staff pay, managing procurement, ensuring accurate ARRS submissions, and maintaining compliance with NHS and CQC standards.

You will coordinate events, provide IT support, manage network communications, and oversee stock control. Administrative tasks for the Clinical Director and COO will also be required.

Line manage all directly employed ARRS staff, ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery and compliance with national and local targets.

Monitor staff performance against KPIs and performance metrics, ensuring staff are meeting targets and identifying areas for improvement.

Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff, including addressing HR issues and maintaining a positive working environment.

Oversee recruitment and retention efforts, ensuring staffing levels meet the networks needs and skill mix requirements.

Ensure staff induction, training, and development are in place to support staff in performing their roles effectively.

Oversee the performance and development of the administrative and clinical teams, ensuring appropriate skills and support are provided.

Manage HR processes, including pre-employment checks, sickness recording, appraisals, and training.

Provide reports and feedback to the Clinical Director (CD) and senior leadership team on staff output, performance, and target attainment.

Project & Operational Management

Coordinate the implementation of new projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with national and local priorities.

Support the development and management of business cases, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.

Support the adoption of new technologies and initiatives to improve patient access, experience, and network productivity.

Utilise data to support decision-making, driving improvements in patient care, operational efficiency, and staff experience.

Support population health management initiatives through data analysis, driving improvements in care quality and access to services.

Ensure alignment of digital transformation initiatives with ICB and national strategies, working closely with the wider healthcare system to improve service delivery.
