Medical Centre is a large GP surgery, with sites in both Hinckley town centre
and the village of Stoke Golding and we pride ourselves on providing an

We are seeking
to employ a Workflow Coordinator, Coder and Administrator, with the
ideal candidate being someone who has previously worked in the admin department
of a very busy GP surgery, is enthusiastic, proactive and happy to work as part
of an outstanding team.
Main duties of the job
As our Workflow
Coordinator / Coder / Administrator, you will work with the rest of the
practice team to support the GPs to provide outstanding patient care. Whist you
will undertake a variety of administrative duties in department the main part
of the role will be to Code all
incoming Workflow and distribute it through the surgery.
Main
purpose of job of or our Workflow and Administration Coordinator.
Workflow/Coding -Attach all letters and correspondence to the
patient record constantly coming in either electronically or from scanning on.
Ensure correct coding is associated with each
letter.
This is the main part of the role and requires
attention to detail
Improve
knowledge of Appropriate Medical Terminology.
Scanning: Become confident in the use of the
practice scanning system and arrangements.

Summary-

scanning is kept up to date. Again this requires attention to detail and a
thorough knowledge and
understanding of Appropriate Medical Terminology.
Summarising Notes- Receiving the Lloyd George records are every week and ensuring each
record is individually checked to ensure all clinical information is up to date
on the clinical system.
Registrations- Work with established staff who deal with registrations to and help add registrations
to SystmOne and Deal with Registration Queries in their absence.
Communication- The post-holder should
recognize the importance of effective communication within the team and will
strive to Communicate effectively with other team members, with patients and carers recognising other peoples needs for alternative
methods of communication and responding accordingly.
Contribution to the implementation of services- The post holder
will apply practice policies, standards and guidance and discuss with other members of the team how the
policies, standards and guidelines will affect own work.
Administrational work- The post holder will work with the rest of the admin
team to monitor incoming Emails and AccUrx Messages from Patients. They will
also have a number of logs to keep up to date as well as
work with the rest of the team and provide back for up the following if
requested. Ringing
patients / hospital secretaries, chasing Referrals/results/letters, chasing
information for GPs, calling patients and checking work lists.
The ideal candidate will have-

least 2 years Experience of working within the admin department of a GP
surgery however relevant NHS Experience will be taken into consideration.
A
Knowledge of SystmOne, Ardens, Prism, Chose and Book, AccuRx, Agillio Teamnet
and would be an advantage however being a Fast learner with the ability to
learn a variety of IT based systems is essential. (e.g. If a candidate has
experience using EMIS or Vision then training will be given on SystmOne).
Must be a competent user of NHS Emails.
A Knowledge
of Medical Terminology, Clinical Coding, and experience of working in a similar
role/environment is essential.
Excellent
verbal and written communication skills are essential as is a Meticulous
