Job summary

Job Description:

As a Practice Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of primary care services within our practice. You will work closely with GPs, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to provide holistic and patient-centred care.

Main duties of the job

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Long term conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, hypertension) and preventative health care
  • Immunisations and vaccinations, including childhood and travel vaccinations
  • Cervical cytology screening
  • Health promotion and education
  • Wound care, dressings, and minor injuries
  • Family planning and sexual health services
  • Support in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Assisting with minor procedures and phlebotomy
