Kingskerswell
& Ipplepen Health centre are seeking to recruit a patient centred GP to
join their team for 7 clinical sessions a week.
Kingskerswell
& Ipplepen Health Centre is a successful and well-regarded GP training and dispensing
medical practice in South Devon with a list size of 11,800. We have been rated
outstanding by CQC in all five key areas and rank amongst the highest nationally
in our patient survey results. The practice has an excellent reputation for
clinical outcomes and delivering quality patient centred services. We are a
training practice with a culture of personal development and education.
Main duties of the job
Sessional
rate is £10,234 per annum with an opportunity to work additional hours at an
enhanced rate. We provide protected study leave, dedicated time for team
meetings, internal CPD and opportunities to participate in quality improvement
projects.
T&Cs
NHS pension scheme, professional and private indemnity covered by the
practice and recognition of years of service in the NHS.
The
practice uses TPP SystmOne clinical system and Ardens.
About us
The
practice team is a friendly dynamic workforce of professional Management and
Clinical staff with excellent Admin support. The practice has a proactive staff
wellbeing ethos.
The
Health Centre is part of the Newton West Primary Care Network (PCN) which has a
large team of Pharmacists, Paramedics, Social Prescribing and well being team. The
practice plays an active role within the PCN.
We
operate from two purpose-built premises, which also accommodates a Pharmacy and
a practice Dispensary, Peninsula Ultrasound, Health Visitors and Community
Intermediate Care team.

Essential
- Fully Qualified GP eligible to work in General Practice in the NHS
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- National Performers List Registration
- General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003
- Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
- Clear DBS report
- Evidence of commitment to ongoing personal & professional development
- Eligible to independently practice in the United Kingdom
Desirable
- Experience working in general practice/primary care environment
- Have an understanding of the needs of the vulnerable groups of patients that are registered
