Job summary
To provide general secretarial support to the practice manager, doctors and health professionals, involving word processing and typing skills with general clerical work over two sites.
Main duties of the job
- To provide an efficient copy typing and word processing service for GPs and health professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals including Choose and Book and private referrals, in an accurate and quality manner.
- To make Choose and Book requests for appointments, and bookings as required.
- To retrieve medical records and assist the completion of medical/insurance records.
- To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with consultant secretaries, patient booking services, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries.
- Action all Subject Access Requests and medical reports (including DVLA/HGV medicals, insurance/solicitors reports, SR1 Forms, ESA113/UC113/PIP Forms, Fostering/Adoption medicals)

The Barcellos Family Practice serves our 8,500 patients from two surgery sites, one in Corbin Avenue, Tricketts Cross and one in Glenmoor Road, West Parley.We offer the same service across both of our branch sites.
