Practice Nurse
Opportunity Full Time/Part Time/Jobshare
We have an exciting opportunity for a practice nurse
to join our busy, supportive and friendly team. Ideally
you will be an experienced practice nurse, but we are prepared to offer
training to a newly qualified nurse or someone looking to move into General
Practice nursing.
Initially the post is 24 hours p.w. over 3 days, with some flexibility around the exact hours and days.
Applicants must have excellent
communication, organisational, clinical skills and demonstrate initiative. Candidates should be able to work alone or as
part of a team.
Main duties of the job
Ideally the successful applicant will be expected to have a practical and confident working knowledge of:
chronic disease management, especially COPD, Asthma and diabetes,
delivery and management of childhood vaccinations,
travel health and vaccinations,
cervical screening,
contraception,
wound care,
and health promotion,
but we are prepared to support the right candidate with ongoing training for any of the above areas.

contract serving a patient list of around 8,000from a diverse ethnic and economic background.
