We have an exciting opportunity available within our Patient Services Reception Team at Baslow Health Centre.
We are located in the beautifully scenic Derbyshire Dales, Peak District. Travelling distance from Chesterfield areas and Sheffield areas. We pride ourselves on working together and supporting one another as a team.
Main duties of the job
As a receptionist in Baslow Health Centre, they are responsible for ensuring to meet and greet patients face to face and over the telephone with a courteous and efficient manner; respond politely when receiving queries.
Our reception team are responsible for completing their workload on a daily basis, this is distributed amongst the team to ensure fair workload.
To facilitate patients in accessing the clinical care provided by the practice.

Job responsibilities
These are the core responsibilities of our GP Receptionists.
The practice may on occasion require receptionists to carry out other duties, dependent on factors such as workload and staffing levels;
- Answering inbound calls and phoning outbound to patients.
- Maintain and Monitor the practice clinical appointments - booking and arriving patients on the system
- Care navigation with training provided to offer signposting advice to patient where appropriate.
- Responding to requests from patients online, accurx and emails.
- Registering new patient registrations and temporary patient registrations
- Access and input administrative data entries into patients' healthcare records as appropriate.
- Using the Clinical System - Systm1 - Training internally provided.
- Support colleagues throughout the practice with general tasks as required.
- Working together as a team to achieve targets throughout the day.
- Scanning documents onto patient's healthcare records; letter; reports etc.
- Adding clinical codes to patient letters, forwarding on for GP attention.
- Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota.
- Supporting Dispensary with prescription requests and queries.
