Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic
individual to join our friendly team at Staploe Medical Centre in a new
collaborative pharmacy technician training scheme between Primary and Community
Care. You will undergo training within general
practice (GP surgery) and rotate into a community pharmacy.
Main duties of the job
You will have an enthusiasm for patient safety, service development, personal development, and are likely to have experience in either a community pharmacy or primary care setting.
Good communication and IT skills will be vital.
Key tasks include:
- Direct work with patients, including supporting safe medication use, repeat prescription reconciliations, and leading Level 1 medication reviews.
- Liaison with Practice colleagues and partner organisations, including care homes, CCG Medicines Optimisation Teams and local Pharmacies.
- Supporting safe systems of working, including leading audits, communicating safety alerts and formulary changes.
- Supporting delivery of contract requirements, including DES contract and QOF targets.

Primary Care Networks formed in 2019 to support the join-up of Primary Care GP services in local clusters across England.
