Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time medical
receptionist to join our friendly practice team. The position is for 16 hours a
week over 4 days.
The successful
applicant will at times be expected to work over two sites to cover staff
sickness and annual leave and be flexible at all times.
Main duties of the job
The diverse and challenging role includes working with our
back office admin team where you should have an eye for details, be extremely
organised and able to prioritise conflicting demands to meet strict deadlines.
The post holder will be reliable, trustworthy, have
excellent customer service skills, a caring and empathetic manner. Experience
in customer service role, office administrator role and previous NHS employment
is an advantage but not essential.
Duties will include
Providing efficient and friendly reception
service for all patients and visitors to the Glyndon medical Centre and Samuel
Street Surgery
Making appointments for all clinicians
Providing efficient and effective admin support
to clinical and admin staff
Providing
admin support regarding e mails and referrals
Support for scanning and photocopying duties
Dealing with new patient medical records
Contribution to the future development of the
practice
Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction
of the practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload
and staffing levels.
About us
The Glyndon Medical Centre is a long established 7500 patient NHS GP Practice within the London borough of Greenwich.
We have a small friendly experienced team of which many have worked for the practice for years.
The practice team is supported by our regular GP's, nurses ,in house physio's , Pharmacists, Mental Health practitioner and Social Prescribers
