Job summary
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive GP
Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming practice.
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a
key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth patient
journey.
The is a part time role and will entail a mixture of front desk, telephone and
administrative duties.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will manage patient appointments via phone
and triage, respond to enquiries both in person and over the phone, and support
the administrative functions of the practice. You will ensure accurate patient
information is recorded, assist with patient requests, and help maintain an
efficient and professional front-of-house service. You will also work closely
with clinical staff to support the overall delivery of high-quality care.

Eversley Medical Centre is a friendly and dedicated training
practice located in the heart of Thornton Heath, South London, serving a
diverse patient population of over 10,000. Situated opposite Croydon University
Hospital, we are well-served by public transport, making our practice easily
accessible.
Our practice team is a dynamic blend of ethnicity, culture,
and experience, which helps us provide inclusive and compassionate care to our
patients. The practice is organised as follows:
Four GP partners, supported by salaried GPs, a physician
associate and a nursing team. We belong to small but dynamic PCN and benefit
from the expertise of other health professionals such a first contact
physiotherapist, clinical pharmacists and a
social prescriber.

- Greeting
patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Managing
appointment bookings and cancellations
- Handling
incoming calls and responding to queries
- Maintaining
accurate patient records using clinical systems
- Support in the management of repeat
prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently
- Processing
administrative requests
- Liaising
with clinicians and other healthcare professionals
- Ensuring
confidentiality and data protection at all times
- Supporting
general administrative duties within the practice
- Scan
patient related documentation and attach scanned documents to patients
healthcare records
- Provide
reception cover during staff absences
- Opening up/locking up of the practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols

- Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare setting
