Hawthorns surgery is a renowned CQC rated GOOD Surgery in Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield who are looking for a 9 sessional (including admin session) Salaried GP initially for a year with the view to Partnership. The practice is led by a 6 GP partnership.

Main duties of the job

Providing the Surgery with an overall GP service(s) to personal patient list.

Support the Surgery with various other activities that are undertaken by the Surgery on a daily basis.

About us

It is a busy practice with a patient list size of 11000 circa. The Hawthorns Surgery is an undergraduate and postgraduate training practice. Hawthorns is a forward thinking practice but have fought hard to maintain a personal list system which research has proved to be best practice. The practice has an exceptional clinical and non-clinical team with outstanding staff retention rates. The practice operates out of a purpose-built surgery, offering facilities to provide patient centred medicine supported by EMIS web (clinical system).

The surgery also provides in-house Minor Surgery, Physio (FCP) and GPwSI ENT services.

A strong support team is in place to deliver the service including Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescriber, Physician Associate, Clinical Coders/Scanners, Practice Secretaries, experienced and fully trained Reception team and a designated Prescription Clerks.
