Main duties of the job
Specific Duties:
Nursing
procedures to include, but not limited to:
Public
Health disease prevention, to include adult and childhood immunisation,
seasonal and travel vaccination. This will include seasonal visits to
housebound patients for administration of influenza/pneumococcal vaccination
Chronic
disease management.
Immediate and necessary clinical intervention
such as venepuncture, ECG monitoring, Hydroxocobalamin administration and
sample testing.

Penarth Healthcare Partnership is a forward looking, innovative and sustainable GP Practice in the seaside town of Penarth.
We have 11 doctors (6 partners) 5 salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, 3 experienced practice nurses, 2 healthcare assistants and 2 in-house pharmacists. Our patient circa is 16269, we are the largest GP practice in the Eastern Vale Cluster, and we occupy a purpose-built surgery, in a central location, which we hope to further enhance over the coming years to meet the wider needs of our patients and the community. We currently train 1st, 2nd& 3rdyear medical students and a GP Registrar training practice.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic practice nurse to join our existing team, to help build on existing work, whilst developing future clinical and triage services. The role will include all aspects of core Practice Nurse duties. Whether you are an experienced Practice Nurse or an adult trained nurse looking to branch into practice nursing, we look forward to hearing from you.

General Practitioners with reference to aforesaid agreed protocols and

undertake reflective practice and regular performance review in accordance with
the NMC recommendations for revalidation of clinical practice
To
effectively manage own time, workload and resources, acknowledging limitations

when referral to other health professions is needed
Evaluating
and adapting care using evidence based practice in consultation with colleagues
as a forum for team education, development and audit
Using
evidence-based practice to assist in the formulation of practice philosophy,
