Practice Nurse

Job responsibilities

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated Band 5 or above nurse depending on experience and skills, to join our vibrant team at Little London Surgery. We are a busy Training Practice with 4 Partners, Practice Nurse lead, 2 practice nurses, 1 Healthcare Assistants and 3 Registrars .

It is essential you have experience in a Primary Care setting and the following skills:

• Venepuncture
• B12 administration
• Flu/pneumonia/shingles administration
• Prostap
• Zoladex
• Depo provera
• Contraceptive checks
• Suture/clip removal
• Blood pressure management
• Good knowledge of general wound care
• Chronic Disease management e.g Diabetes, asthma, COPD
• Ability to work in a busy team, working independently and collectively within the team, with good communication skills.
• Childhood Immunisations
• Travel Immunisations
• Cervical Cytology
• ECG Tracing
• Ear irrigation
• IT Skills

Qualifications

• Clinical supervision training and experience E
• Relevant nursing/health degree D
• Mentor/teaching qualification D

• Independent and supplementary nurse prescribing
• IT skills
• Evidence of training and updates

Experience

Essential

• We are looking for an experienced nurse in General Practice

Desirable

• Essential that you have experience of working in GP practice
