Job summary
Issa Medical is seeking a skilled and motivated Scrub Nurse
to join our dynamic clinical team. This role involves providing high-quality
perioperative support within our minor surgery service, ensuring safe and
effective care for patients undergoing procedures in our treatment suite.
You will work closely with surgeons, GPs, and other members
of the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient experiences and
uphold the highest standards of clinical practice.
Main duties of the job
- Prepare operating areas and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile, safe, and available.
- Act as scrub nurse for minor surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and supporting the surgeon throughout.
- Ensure all clinical documentation is completed accurately, including instrument checks and surgical safety checklists.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centred care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist in stock management, ordering, and equipment maintenance.
- Contribute to infection prevention and control processes in line with NHS policies.

- Proven experience working as a scrub nurse in minor surgery, theatres, or procedural clinics.
- Strong understanding of infection prevention, sterile fields, and surgical safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain high standards of care.
Desirable
- Experience in community-based or primary care surgical services.
- Knowledge of vasectomy or urology procedures (if applicable).
- Additional qualifications in perioperative nursing or minor surgery support.
