Job summary
- All our surgeries offer both urgent care
sessions and routine appointments. You will work closely with other
clinicians (GPs and other Allied Health Professionals including Physician
Associates) as part of a supportive team at our surgery(s).
- You will be responsible for providing face to
face consultations for patients presenting with undifferentiated problems,
with a wide range of minor injuries, long term conditions and minor
illness needs as well as undifferentiated clinical presentations.
- You will act as an autonomous clinician and
take responsibility for the assessment, treatment and/or to appropriately
refer patients to specialist services when required
- Be compliant with the FPA Code of Professional
Conduct and be registered on the PAMVR.
- Take a comprehensive patient history, carry
out physical examinations and use
expert knowledge and clinical judgement to identify the potential
diagnosis

Qualified
Physician Associate, registered with the PAMVR.
Experience
of working in Primary Care environment.
- You will have a proven record of acting
in roles where you have acted
autonomously and responsibly for
the assessment, treatment and/or appropriately refer patients to
specialist services when required
Proven
background of dealing with a diverse range of patients from all walks of life
Proven
background of building positive rapport with a diverse range of internal
colleagues and clients
Proven
ability to work autonomously whilst also having an awareness when identifying
the need to access the wider clinical team or external agencies appropriately
and safely
A
first class organisational and time management skill in a fast paced
environment is essential.
Hold
a Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle to travel between surgeries
and other health care settings as appropriate

care to meet patients health and social care needs, involving other
members of the wider health care team as appropriate;
- Ensure the
provision of continuity of care including follow-up visits;
- Assess and
evaluate, with patients, the effectiveness of the treatment and care
provided and make changes as needed;
- Work independently, although often as part of a local and wider
health care team;
- Provide
leadership to the wider team and make sure that each patients treatment
and care is based on best practice
