Job summary

As our Care Navigator you will undertake a wide range of administrative skills within our generic admin team, including dealing with patient enquiries, supporting the clinical team, and liaising with outside agencies.

This role is a part-time position, 18 hours per week to be worked over 2 days (Monday and Friday).

Main duties of the job

You will use the Clinical System (Systm1) to book GP/nurse appointments for patients, answer the telephone and deal with patient enquiries, processhome visits, deal with patient triages that come in throughout the day.

You will also deal with emails, deal with patients on the front reception desk, and general filing/administrative work.

Our team is generic, meaning that everybody in the team is trained and knows the process of each admin task.

Job description

Job responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Dealing with telephone enquiries from patients

2. Booking GP and nurse appointments

3. Processing repeat prescription requests

4. Processing Home Visit requests.

5. Receiving and recording of messages

6. Registering of new patients/temporary residents/foreign visitors etc.

7. Processing actions from results as per Clinicians

8. Scanning documents into the clinical IT system and coding/processing of the workflow before sending to the GP or other members of the team

9. Opening and sorting the post. Franking post at the end of the day and taking it to the post box/post office.

10. Sorting paperwork from Doctors trays.

11. General filing

12. Assisting Doctors with general secretarial duties as and when required.

13. Dealing with patients on Reception Desk when required

14. Processing patient triage requests

15. Dealing with email enquiries

16. Provide cover for members of the administration team as and when required

17. Cover evening and weekend surgeries when required at an enhanced rate of pay

18. Making tea and coffee
