Role:

You will work with our dispensing team at Riverbank Surgery (Westcott) and Hillside Surgery (Box Hill), and on our reception desks at New House Surgery (Dorking).

Main duties of the job

Job description:

- To be responsible for checking all medicines dispensed under the supervision of a dispensing GP

- Ensuring all prescriptions are labelled accurately

- Collecting prescription charges in accordance with dispensary protocol

- Maintaining stock levels within the dispensary

- Receiving and storing supplies in accordance with current policy, ensuring the cold chain is maintained where applicable

- Interacting with our patients in person, via telephone and via our website

- Booking appointments, issuing repeat prescriptions, and managing administrative tasks.

- Working autonomously but also as part of a team

- Excellent computer skills are essential and you will need your own transport.

You will act as a point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
