Job summary

Ruston Street Clinic is looking for a Health Care Assistant with experience of working in a GP Practice. We are located in Bow E3.

We are seeking an experienced ,motivated and forward-thinking Health Care Assistant who enjoys General Practice. We offer NHS Pension. We welcome applicants wanting a part time employment.

Main duties of the job

Urinalysis

Phlebotomy

ECG Recording

Wound dressing

Blood Pressure Monitoring

Clearing and restocking consulting rooms

Administering vaccinations e.g. Vitamin B12, Influenza and Pneumococcal

Undertake new patient health checks and NHS health checks.

Support the clinicians with the management of chronic disease clinics.

Calling/texting patients to ask them in for reviews.

Chronic disease review which may include home visits.

Other Duties

Maintain the Cold Chain

Participate in stock takes

Lifestyle advice to patients

Use Clinical system Emis Web to record all patients contacts

Participate / contribute to practice team meetings.

Ensure all consulations and treatments are accuratly recorded and coded.

Patients Record and appropriate templates are used.

We are a friendly supportive Gp surgery in the heart of Bow with a list size of 4000 patients .We have 2 partners, 1 salaried GP , a Locum Nurse , 4 receptionists and 2 senior administrators. The practice has a Good CQC rating.

Job description

Job responsibilities

We are a friendly supportive GP surgery in Bow E3, looking for a thorough and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant with good communication skills to assist the GPs and Practice Nurse in the delivery of excellent care to our patients.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Urinalysis

Phlebotomy

ECG Recording

Wound dressing

Blood Pressure Monitoring

Clearing and restocking consulting rooms

Administering vaccinations e.g. Vitamin B12, Influenza and Pneumococcal

Undertake new patient health checks and NHS health checks.

Support the clinicians with the management of chronic disease clinics.

Calling/texting patients to ask them in for reviews.

Chronic disease review which may include home visits.

This is a part time position for 6 months. Working hours to be discussed during interview.

NHS pension and on-going training will be provided. Experience working in a GP surgery is preferable however not essential. We will provide you with:
