Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work within our busy GP surgery in Crownhill, and Tamerton Foliot, Plymouth.
This role is new, and we are excited to appoint someone to work alongside our dedicated multidisciplinary clinical and operations team to improve our service to our diverse patient demographic.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will be an experienced Nurse Practitioner who holds an appropriate, specific, advanced professional qualification which meets NMC requirements for high-level practice.
Be knowledgeable in the 4 pillars of advanced practice and how these apply to you.
MSc level training- preferably in advanced practice or related advanced nursing studies.
Experience working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in primary care or other related service
Non-medical prescriber with minimum 12-24 months experience (dependant on areas worked)
Competent in assessment, diagnosis and management of common primary care presentations
Competent with technology and using multiple IT systems at once.
Experience in blood interpretation and review of laboratory results.
Experience in digital healthcare (Desirable)
Experience in using System One (Desirable)
The ANP will work with the team to provide high-quality care which meets the needs of the practices patient population.
Working within defined professional boundaries, they will be able to make safe clinical decisions relating to assessment, diagnosis, treatment and review.
The ANP will demonstrate critical thinking ability.
NMC requirements for advanced practice must be met.
