Myrtle Group is currently seeking a part-time Rota Co-Ordinator to work 16 hours over a 4 day working week (Mon-Fri). This would be an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly organised person.

The Rota Co-Ordinator is responsible for the day-to-day planning, co-ordination and maintenance of clinical and non-clinical rotas, ensuring safe staffing levels and continuity of service.
The role provides operational delivery of rotas, with clear escalation and reporting, supporting effective workforce governance and a well-led practice.

1. Rota Planning and Management (Day-to-Day Responsibility)
- Create, manage and maintain rotas for:
- GPs
- Nursing team
- ARRS roles
- Students and trainees
- Phlebotomy and other relevant staff
- Administrative staff
- Extended Access Services
- Ensure rotas meet contractual, safety and service requirements
- Make real-time adjustments to cover sickness, leave or unexpected absence
- Collate and maintain GP On-Call Rota across both sites
2. Leave, Absence and Cover
- Record and manage annual leave requests in line with agreed policies
- Coordinate locum and internal cover where required
- Escalate staffing risks or gaps promptly to the Assistant Practice Manager
3. Communication and Coordination
- Act as a central point of contact for rota-related queries
- Communicate rota changes clearly and in a timely manner
- Work closely with Practice Supervisors to ensure clinical oversight
4. Governance, Risk and Assurance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date rota records
- Highlight patterns, risks or capacity issues
- Support workforce planning through reporting and data provision
- Ensure compliance with working time regulations and local policies
5. Continuous Improvement
- Review rota effectiveness and suggest improvements
- Support changes to service delivery and workforce models
- Participate in operational meetings as required

- Ability to compile and interpret data for reports and scheduling.

- Additional qualifications in customer care, HR, or leadership.

- Previous rota management experience ideally within the NHS or similar complex environment.
- General administration experience in a busy office or healthcare setting.
- Experience of managing diaries, schedules and working to deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience with electronic rostering systems (e.g., Emis, Teamnet, Practice Index, HealthRoster, e-Roster, RotaMaster).
- NHS experience or familiarity with NHS staff terms and conditions.
