Job summary

Would you like the opportunity work in an ever increasing expanding modern Doctors surgery?

We are a large multi sited GP group based in Tamworth looking for enthusiastic staff to join an already skilled team.

No experience in a surgery is necessary as full training will be given.

We are looking for someone 25-30 per week.

salary depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

Booking and cancelling patients.

Completing tasks given from clinical staff

Experience of working in a public reception environment

Experience of talking to the public on the telephone

Experience of Microsoft Office software

Experience of dealing with the public/patients

Advanced numeracy skills

Excellent keyboard and computer skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities

About us

We have 6 partner GPs,6 PAs and are a Training Practice for student Doctors that work across 3 sites.

We offer 5 week holiday pro rata plus BHs

Job description

Job responsibilities

Medical receptionist with a flexible approach to working environment to provide an efficient service at the point of reception.

Key duties

1.Ensure smooth running of telephone system

2. Booking appointments with Clinicians

3. Ensure patients are received politely and are dealt with efficiently and provided with any information they may require.

4. Respect patient needs to relay information in a confidential manner and respond accordingly.

5. Register new amend where necessary and transfer patients manual and computerised records.

6. Record any requests for home visits, and ensure the clinician is informed.

7. All messages logged and recorded and ensure relevant member of staff is informed in a timely fashion.

8. Dealing with incoming emails in a timely manner.

9. File and retrieve patient records as requested.

10. Any other duties the post may require.
