Registered Vaccinator - COVID-19

Job summary

The post holder will work as part of our large team to provide a caring, quality service to patients accessing our vaccination service. You will be responsible for the administration of COVID-19 and flu vaccines to the patient population.

Main duties of the job

To deliver COVID-19 and flu vaccinations to the patient population

To keep up to date with the national protocol, PGD and guidance for delivery of the vaccines

Assess a patient’s eligibility for the vaccination

Listen to and support any concerns the patient may have and address these appropriately, with the support of the clinical lead as required

Ensure that clinical assessment and eligibility for the vaccine has been carried out prior to vaccination, as well as that consent has been gained

Ensure that routine, complex and sensitive information is communicated to patients and their relatives/carers

Ensure the correct use and disposal of equipment, as per the SOP

Adhere to all practice policies and procedures

Work within own competencies and use own judgement, seeking support as required

Assist with the monitoring of stock, as required
