Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy training practice of 15600 patients. We are looking to expand our prescription team which includes 2 clinical pharmacists and our experienced pharmacy technician. The successful candidate will have a variety of tasks within this role to expand on their training and experience. Supporting the medicines management team in the first instance you will be involved in medication reconciliation, discharge letters, audits, and clinical project work.

This is a PCN supported role.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking team player with a proven track record in an existing pharmacy technician role or the drive and ambition to develop into one with training and support! You will be required to undertake the CPPE pathway for pharmacy technicians during your working hours.The ability to work on your own as well as part of a team, you will have the motivation to create ideas for improvement in medicines management and be part of ongoing change within the practice.

About us

We are an eco-friendly practice of 12 doctors (5 partners) and host medical students across the academic year. We are proud of our focus on staff welfare and well-being and as a newly merged team have worked hard to engender a team spirit that shows in commitment and enthusiasm across the practice.We host various specialities- midwives, community nursing, podiatry, physiotherapy, speech and language, urology etc.Our practice team comprises, receptionists, nurses, HCAs, administration, medicines management, salaried GPs, partners, physiotherapist, social prescribers,pharmacists, paramedic and advanced nurse practitioner.
