Job summary
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties including supporting the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, referring patients, scanning, coding, summarising and processing of information and assisting patients as required.
Issuing and monitoring patient invitations for monthly recall of Chronic Disease Management by running the relevant reports and searches through EMIS and Ardens to make patient appointments via AccuRx, Text, telephone, email or postal invitations in line with QoF/QiF registers to ensure any patients missed from the Long-Term Conditions register are followed up with appointments ensuring that the correct Clinical Coding and monitoring has been undertaken. Reporting back to the GPs, Clinicians and Practice Manager regarding the QOF/QiF position, patients attendance and correct clinical coding.
Close working with external bodies requiring audits and information.

Main duties of the job
a.
Issuing

out system searches supporting with the QoF/QiF reviews as necessary.
c.

incoming emails/tasks as necessary in support of the muti-disciplinary team
d.
Screening
follow up for two week wait referrals including breast, cytology, bowel etc.
e.
Action
any newly diagnosed cancer patients ensuring cancer care review is booked with
the appropriate clinician.
f.
Initiating
contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and
external agencies.
g.
Help
the GP liaise with external agencies, such as the District Nursing Team and staff
at the Dougie Mac regarding the palliative care patients.
h.
Input
data into the patients healthcare records as necessary.
i.
Manage
all queries as necessary in an efficient manner.
j.
Arrange
appointments, tests and follow up appointments for patients as necessary.
k.
Maintain
a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times.
l.
Support
all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.

Our current team consists of 1 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GP's, Long-term Locum GP, 1 Practice Nurse, 2 part time Health Care Support Workers and excellent management team with a full complement of administration support staff.
