This role involves being a pharmacy technician at Belvedere Medical Centre. Although a busy practice, you will be fully supported in the team.
It is a rewarding job and you will have the chance to work with many clinical and non- clinical staff across many disciplines, within and out of the practice
Main duties of the job
The role involves being a pharmacy technician at our practice with a patient list size of around 17,500 patients. As a member of the general practice clinical pharmacy team you will be expected to deliver a high quality clinical pharmacy service to patients ensuring safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of drugs as well as support our clinical pharmacists with administrative tasks..
Your role will be focused on general practice support, involvement in medicines optimisation and reviews, aligning repeat prescriptions, organising relevant investigations related to medications, acting on hospital letters and discharge letters, meeting local/national prescribing targets and working to the practice requirement.
We expect our clinical pharmacy team to evaluate the delivery, implementation and risks involved with our services as well as contribute to clinical governance agendas and regularly review policies and procedures with ideas to develop these in a multidisciplinary manner.

The surgery is open on Monday 8am-6.30pm, Tuesday 8am-7.30pm and Wednesday to Friday 7am-6.30pm

Salary: From £30,000- 40,000 annual salary depending on experience and capability

Essential
- - Professional knowledge acquired through completion of accredited 2 year pharmacy technician course and completion of pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician/ level 3 apprenticeship
- - 1 years minimum experience working in GP
- -Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- - Evidence of commitment to and able to demonstrate CPD
- - Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
- - Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
- - Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
Desirable
- Completed the CPPE training pathway in primary care
- Membership with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
- Working towards or membership of the RPS Faculty
- Training in safe guarding vulnerable adults and children
Experience

- Evidence of practical application of in depth therapeutic and clinical knowledge
- Ability to analyse, interpret and evaluate clinical evidence, data and information from various sources to make judgements, decisions and provide recommendations
