Job summary
To
be responsible for the delivery of practice nursing services, working as part
of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of
practice to the entitled patient population. The practice nurse will be
responsible for a number of clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic
disease management, health prevention, as well as supporting the management
team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure.
Ideally the successful candidate will have an experience and knowledge of respiratory disease, ie COPD and Asthma so that they can undertake chronic condition reviews for this cohort of patients and become respiratory lead for the practice.
Main duties of the job
Professional
- Support patients with long term

techniques and spirometry

tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs

About us
Both Dunster and
Porlock Surgeries are situated in purpose built premises with Dunster overlooking the
village cricket pitch and Porlock having enviable views onto the moors and
across the sea to Wales.
The Practice was
rated as overall Outstanding in 2018 and rated by Severn Deanery as Excellent
training locations. We are a happy, friendly team who support each other to
achieve our mission of providing Gold standard care. We actively encourage
personal and professional development and consider ourselves innovative and
forward thinking whilst retaining the ethos of a family practice. .
The Practice team consists of a 4 GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 4 Practice Nurses, 1 Assistant Practitioner and 2 HCAs which are all supported by a dedicated/multi-skills administrative team.
