Job summary
Wragby Surgery is looking to recruit a full-time,
experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
This role requires an experienced ANP who, acting within
their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient
from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and
evaluation of their care. They will demonstrate safe clinical decision making
and expert care for patients within the general practice. They will work
collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the
needs of patients, supporting the delivery of our policy and procedures.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:-
Making
professionally autonomous decisions you will deliver a high standard of patient
care as an ANP in general practice, using advanced, autonomous clinical skills
and a broad in-depth theoretical knowledge base.
Within a
primary care setting, manage a clinical caseload dealing with the presenting
patient's needs.
As an
independent prescriber, to prescribe, safe, effective and appropriate
medication
Promote
evidence based practice through the use of the latest research based guidelines
and the development of practice based research.
Monitor
the effectiveness of their own clinical practice through the quality assurance
strategies such as the use of audit and peer review
Maintain
their professional registration
Participate
in continuing professional development opportunities to ensure that up-to-date
evidence based knowledge and competence in all aspects of the role is
maintained.
Work
within the latest NMC Code of Professional Conduct
Record
accurate consultation data in patients records in accordance with the latest
NMC guidance and other pertinent standards.
Keep up
to date with pertinent health related policy and work with the practice team to
consider the impact and strategies for implementation
About us
At
Wragby Surgery, our friendly team of GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses,
Healthcare Assistants and supportive non-clinical team work seamlessly together
to provide medical services to 3,950 patients who live in the market town of
Wragby and the surrounding villages. Our excellent older adult team offer
personalised care to our patients.
The
surgery is purpose-built with large consulting rooms. Wragby is 12 miles from
the historic city of Lincoln, on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds (a designated
Area Of Natural Beauty), within easy reach of the coast and inside the
catchment area for some excellent schools.
We
are part of the East Lindsey Primary Care Network which allows our patients to
access additional services at the practice from first contact physiotherapists,
a Pharmacist and an occupational therapist. We also have a number of clinics at
the practice run by visiting professionals including ultrasound,
physiotherapists, midwife, mental health nurse, counsellor etc.
