An opportunity has arisen for a part time Medical Receptionist to join our small, dedicated team.
We are looking for a Medical Receptionist/Administrator with good interpersonal, clinical, administrative and organisational skills. The requirement is for 18 hrs per week (days/hours to be agreed).

Main duties of the job
A brief summary of the post is to receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
To provide general administrative support to the practice manager, doctors and health professionals, involving call and recall systems.
About us
You will join a small multidisciplinary team of clinicians and admin staff in a small rural practice serving a list size of 3500 patients.
The Practice uses Systm1 as the clinical computer system and is part of the East Lindsey PCN.

work in accordance of written protocols
- Filing
incoming documents
- Photocopy
as requested
- Process requests for repeat prescriptions
Reception
- Receiving
patients, consulting with members of practice team
- Handing
completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
- Be
able to cover all reception positions as necessary
- Receive
telephone calls
- Receiving
and booking requests for ambulance transport when necessary
Appointments
- Process
appointment requests for today/future appointments from patients by
telephone and in person.
- Deal
with visits/requests
Computer
- Registrations
of new patients computer data entry and medical records
- Process
patients changes of address computer data and medical records (have
knowledge of practice area)
- Process
repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines
- Manage
the recall system for patient follow up appointments including chronic
disease management and pathology appointments.
Other Tasks
- Clear
rooms after surgeries
- Ensure
building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm
- Any
other tasks allocated by managers

may be required to work over two sites.
