Northlands Wood Practice is a friendly practice in Haywards Heath, Mid Sussex. We are part of the Haywards Heath Villages Primary Care Network. We are a GP training practice.
We are looking for an additional Practice Nurse to grow our nursing team. The vacancy is flexible and could be part time or fulltime. You would also be expected to help cover holidays and sickness for other members of the nursing team.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic and highly motivated, preferably with general practice experience, although this is not essential. You will be NMC registered with strong interpersonal and communication skills and it is imperative you are a team player.
Main duties of the job
Key duties include
Cervical Cytology
Wound care and dressings
Chronic disease management (Diabetes, COPD & Asthma)
Routine and child immunisations
INR blood testing
Travel vaccinations (currently suspended as a result of COVID-19)
ECGs
Knowledge and understanding of QOF
Knowledge and experience of working within the framework of Locally Commissioned Services and Direct Enhanced Services
