Job summary
We are
seeking a Practice Nurse to join our nursing team and we are looking for candidates
with a general practice or community nursing background.
Experience in wound care management is essential, experience of chronic disease
management, immunisations and cervical cytology a bonus.
The
position is part time. Hours to work are from 8am to 6.30 pm, though there is
some flexibility for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job

- Wound care/ulcer care/doppler
- Cervical cytology
- Contraception
- Routine immunisations/childhood immunisations
- Venepuncture
- Removal of sutures
- ECGs
- Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate
- To assist in the management of clinical indicators (QOF) and update patient records at every opportunity.
Participate in the Management of Chronic Disease Clinics (as qualified to do so)
- Asthma clinic
- COPD Clinic
- Diabetes clinic
