Job summary
This is a rare
and exciting opportunity for a social media professional to contribute their
expertise in frontline primary care and develop this new and unique role.
We want to
improve the lives of our patients and that means engaging with them to provide
the right information, build trust and address misunderstandings. We have
created this new role to help us start to break down some of those barriers. We
want to be a trusted and valued source of information for all of our community
and we need someone with experience and flair to make it happen.
This is
completely new to us so you would be starting with a clean slate, bringing your
expertise and experience to make the post your own, putting your stamp on our
voice and achieving lasting impact in the real world.
We're looking for
someone with enthusiasm that is excited by the idea of using their social media
experience in primary care, and who is keen to develop their expertise in the
other parts of the role.
Main duties of the job
Social media will
be an important part of the role, but there are other equally important elements.
You will be a key interface with patients, the community and NHS partners. As
well as social media this includes dealing with formal complaints, formal
patient participation and feedback, health promotion, brand promotion,
advertising and community engagement.
You'd be working
with our team of clinicians, managers and admin staff to develop our campaigns
and drive health improvement in a coordinated and targeted way.
We don't expect you
to have done all the elements before and would provide training and support. For
example, we'd guide you through the formal patient complaints process until you're
confident.
As social media is
new to us you will need to be a graduate and have three years' experience of
planning, delivering and reporting on social media campaigns. You will also be
a great communicator and able to adapt your style to the situation, from formal
to fun.
