Part time hours - to be discussed (20-22 hours per week, & we need flexibility to cover sickness and holiday's)Please note, the surgery hours are between 8-18.30, Mon to Fri.
Contributing to the day to day running of reception. Opening premises and checking heating and ventilation. Restoration of telephone and IT equipment. Registration of new Patients. Booking Appointments for Patients. Booking Patients as they arrive in Reception. Monitoring and Directing Patient flow throughout the surgery. Overseeing Waiting Room. Contributing to keeping the admin and paperwork up-to-date. Ensuring Doctor and Practice Nurse have relevant medical records/hospital letters/diagnostic reports for consultation. Read coding and Scanning of Patients correspondence, Hospital letters, reports etc. Ensuring medical records are kept up to date. Ensuring Doctors consulting room is kept tidy and stocked with appropriate forms. Operating computer for repeat prescriptions. Preparation of repeat prescriptions including EPS system and ensuring these are signed and checked by the Doctor. Operating computers for recording all information as required. Transferring phones to appropriate people and to night service as required. Attending courses and meetings etc. as required. Maintaining confidentiality at all times. Any other duties as may be required by Practice Manager or Doctors. Use of email for corresponding with practice teams and other agencies. Summarising medical records. Distribution of mail.
Main duties of the job
To answer queries and direct patients appropriately.
Processing prescriptions.
Dealing with incoming mail in various forms.
Admin duties as required.
Maintaining a clean waiting room.
Liaising with Healthcare professionals.
Reporting to HR/ Operational Managers.

We are a very friendly team who work together collaboratively as Amber Medical Services, which consists of Limes Medical Centre, tHE Village Surgery and Blackwell Medical Centre.
We have three partners across sites, two salaried GPs, a Nursing team and an Administrative/ Reception team on site.
